Commercial Dumpster Rental in Tacoma, WA
Retail turnovers, office refits, warehouse clear-outs in the Fife tideflats and property management work across Pierce County. Scheduled swaps, invoicing that makes sense, and drivers who know how to work a live loading dock.
Commercial jobs live or die on scheduling. A retail tenant improvement on Sixth Avenue, a warehouse purge off Port of Tacoma Road, a property manager turning four units at once — none of them can afford a container sitting full while a crew works around it. We set swap days in advance, and when a job runs hot we can usually get you a next-day exchange instead of a Monday.
Grant started this company in 2012 and still takes the calls on commercial accounts, which means the person quoting your job is the person who has to make the schedule work. Flat-rate pricing, one invoice per haul, tonnage stated up front. If you run multiple properties we will keep the paperwork consistent across all of them so accounting is not chasing three different formats.
Site access on commercial work is its own conversation. Tideflats warehouses usually have room to spare. A Hilltop storefront with two parking stalls and a shared alley does not. Downtown buildings often need an early morning drop before the lot fills. Tell us the loading situation and the hours you can accept a truck and we will build the route around it. Start on the contact page or call (253) 328-9630.
Business Work We Handle Weekly
Retail Tenant Improvements
Old fixtures, shelving, ceiling grid and carpet tile come out fast once demo starts. A 30 yard box keeps the crew moving through a mall or strip-center turnover.
Office Refits & Downsizing
Cubicle panels, desks, chairs and server-room leftovers. Pull the monitors and computers for E-Cycle Washington first — they are free to drop and cannot ride in the container.
Warehouse & Tideflats Cleanouts
Pallets, banding, damaged stock and years of shop clutter out of Fife and Port of Tacoma buildings. Dock-height loading works well with a 40 yard container.
Property Management Turns
Apartment and rental turnovers where the last tenant left furniture behind. One container handles several units if you stage the debris before delivery day.
Restaurant Buildouts
Hood work, old line equipment, booth seating and tile. Grease-soaked material and refrigerant units need separate handling, so flag them before we quote the job.
Storage Facility Clearing
Abandoned unit contents and auction leftovers pile up quickly. Schedule a standing swap and the yard never becomes the problem it was last spring.
Campus & Dorm Turnover
University of Puget Sound and Pacific Lutheran move-out weeks generate an enormous volume of furniture and abandoned belongings in a very short window.
Event & Seasonal Overflow
Festival breakdown, holiday retail packaging and inventory clear-outs. A short-term container beats overflowing your compactor and paying a contamination charge on top.
Sizing a Container for Business Volume
Most commercial customers end up on the 20, 30 or 40 yard. The 20 suits a small office clear-out or a single retail bay where the footprint is tight. The 30 is the workhorse for tenant improvements and multi-unit turns. The 40 is for volume without much weight — pallets, packaging, insulation, cubicle panels — and it needs real room to set down and swing the door. Dense material like tile, plaster or old fixtures fills tonnage before it fills space, so we often recommend a smaller box swapped more often. That is usually cheaper than one overweight haul.

We are licensed and insured and can send a certificate before we roll if your GC or property owner requires one on file. On site we set protection boards under the rails so a new asphalt lot or a fresh sealcoat does not take rail marks, and we position the container where it will not block a fire lane, an ADA stall or a delivery bay. Tideflats sites with soft fill can rut in the wet season, so we look at the ground before dropping. If the box has to sit in the public right of way, that permit comes from the City of Tacoma or the relevant jurisdiction, and we will point you at the right one.
Not sure this is the right service? Describe the job on the phone and we will point you at the right container even if it is a different service page. Call (253) 328-9630.

Commercial Dumpster Rental FAQs
Can you set up recurring swaps?
Yes. Standing schedules are common for property managers, storage facilities and shops that generate steady volume. We agree a day, you tell us if a week needs skipping, and the driver handles the rest. Most accounts start with a weekly or biweekly swap and adjust after a month once we both see the real fill rate. Call and we will set it up.
Do you carry insurance and can you provide a COI?
We are licensed and insured, and a certificate of insurance is a routine request on commercial and construction sites. Give us the certificate holder details when you book and we will have it over before delivery. If your project has additional insured requirements or a specific limit, tell us early rather than the morning of the drop, because paperwork on that scale is not instant.
Can you deliver before we open?
Often, yes. Early drops before a lot fills or a shift starts are common downtown and in retail centers, and they are usually easier for us than midday. We do need clear access, so if a gate is locked or a lot is chained overnight we need the code or a contact who can meet the driver. Tell us your window when you book and we will slot the route accordingly.
What about older commercial buildings and asbestos?
Anything built before 1980 in Pierce County needs a good-faith asbestos survey by an AHERA-certified inspector before renovation or demolition that could disturb material, with notification to Puget Sound Clean Air Agency and a waiting period. Ceiling tile, floor tile and mastic, pipe wrap and transite panels are the usual finds. We cannot accept asbestos-containing material in any container, and we would rather reschedule than haul a contaminated load.
How is billing handled on commercial accounts?
Flat rate per haul, quoted before delivery, with the tonnage allowance stated on the quote so nothing arrives as a surprise. One invoice per container, and if you run several properties we keep the format identical across them. Overage only happens when a load comes in heavy, and the most common cause in this market is rain sitting in an untarped box for a week.
