Contractors call us because the box shows up when we said it would. A framing crew standing around waiting on a swap is the most expensive thing on a jobsite, so we hold next-day swaps as the standard and will stretch for same-day when the schedule allows. Grant has been running trucks in Pierce County since 2012 and knows the difference between a South Hill plat and a downtown infill lot.

Mixed construction and demolition debris is what we haul most: dimensional lumber, sheathing, sheetrock and joint compound, siding, windows, cabinetry, subfloor and packaging. Keep clean concrete, brick and dirt in their own container. Those materials are heavy enough that mixing them into a general load is how a job blows past its tonnage. We would rather set two boxes than watch you pay an overage on a mixed one.

Remodels in pre-1980 housing come with a step before demo. Puget Sound Clean Air Agency wants a good-faith asbestos survey from an AHERA-certified inspector, and most Pierce County demolition permits will not issue without one. Vermiculite, 9x9 tile and mastic, popcorn ceiling and pipe wrap are the usual positives. We cannot take that material, so get the survey booked early and the rest of the schedule holds together. More on demolition debris.

Jobsites We Serve Across Pierce County

New Construction Framing

Cutoffs, sheathing scrap, housewrap and packaging from new plats on South Hill, Bonney Lake and DuPont. High volume, light weight — a 30 or 40 yard suits it.

Whole-House Remodels

Gut work in North Slope and Proctor bungalows produces plaster, lath, cabinetry and old flooring all at once. Plaster is heavy, so watch the fill line.

Basement Finishing

Daylight basements under older Tacoma homes need old framing, damp insulation and rotten subfloor out before anything new goes in. A 15 or 20 yard covers most.

Additions & ADUs

Backyard cottages and bump-outs on narrow lots. Placement matters more than size here, since the container competes with a material drop and a portable toilet for space.

Siding Replacement

Old cedar, T1-11 and vinyl coming off a two-story. Cement-asbestos siding on pre-1980 homes is a hard stop until a survey clears it, so check first.

Interior Demo & Strip-Out

Studs to the sheathing, ceilings down, everything to the shell. Fast-filling work that usually wants a container swapped mid-week rather than one oversized box.

Concrete & Footings

Driveway breakout, patios and old footings need a dedicated low-capacity load. See concrete and heavy debris for how we fill these.

Storm & Rot Repair

Wet-season failures — rotten decks, water-damaged framing, blown-down fir limbs through a roof. We can usually be out the next morning, sometimes the same day.

Matching Box Size to the Trade

Framing and finish crews on new work want the 40 yard — the debris is bulky and light and volume is the constraint. Remodel and gut work usually runs better on a 30 yard swapped as needed, because plaster, tile and old subfloor hit the weight limit long before the walls are full. Bath and kitchen jobs, siding on a single elevation, or a small ADU shell fit a 20 yard on a tight lot. For anything with concrete or dirt in it, we set a 10 yard and fill it partway. Ask and we will size it off your scope rather than guessing.

Site Conditions That Slow a Delivery

Give us a flat, firm spot with about sixty feet of straight approach and eighteen feet of overhead clearance and the drop takes ten minutes. What costs time is a saturated lot in February, a gravel drive out in Graham that ruts under a loaded truck, or a container pinned behind a material stack. On the bluff streets near Old Town and the Stadium District we will not leave a full box on a grade, full stop. Protection boards go under the rails on every drop, including finished driveways on new construction. If you are digging near the placement, call Washington 811 before we get there.

Not sure this is the right service? Describe the job on the phone and we will point you at the right container even if it is a different service page. Call (253) 328-9630.

Construction Dumpster Rental FAQs

How fast can you swap a full container?

Next day is our standard and it covers most crews. Call before the afternoon cut-off and there is a fair chance we get to you the same day, especially inside Tacoma, Fife and Lakewood. What kills a swap is access: if the full box is boxed in by a delivery or parked vehicles, the driver cannot pull it and we lose the slot. Keep the approach clear on swap day.

Can I mix concrete with general construction debris?

Please do not. Clean concrete, asphalt, brick and dirt go in a dedicated container filled part way, because weight is the limit rather than volume. Mixed into a general load, a few wheelbarrows of broken slab will push the haul overweight and the ticket reflects it. Clean concrete also recycles cleanly when it is separated, which is better for everyone. We will bring a second box if the job needs one.

Do you deliver to jobs outside Tacoma?

Yes. We run Pierce County and the South Sound daily — Lakewood, Puyallup, Parkland, Spanaway, University Place, Gig Harbor, Bonney Lake, Sumner, Graham, DuPont and the base area. Long gravel drives in Graham and acreage jobs are fine as long as the surface holds a loaded truck in the wet season. Check the service areas page or call and ask about your address.

What happens if the load gets rained on?

It gets heavier, and weight is what determines whether you pay overage. Sheetrock and insulation are the worst offenders — a box of dry drywall scrap that was comfortably inside allowance can land well over it after a wet week. Tarp the container at the end of each day from October through May. We supply the tarp; the crew just has to use it before they head home.

Do you need a permit on a jobsite?

Not for private property, which covers nearly all of our construction drops. Street placement in Tacoma requires a right-of-way use permit, and Lakewood, Puyallup, Fife and the county each run their own process. If the frontage is a state route like SR-7 or SR-99, WSDOT can be part of it too. Sort this before mobilization, not the morning the crew shows up. Details on the permit guide.
